One bad event but many more good ones to come

Tomorrow will be the last day of the pushcart sale at MJC. Although the response had been really bad, I do not feel utterly discouraged about it as it is all a learning experience and now I know that JC kids dont really fancy cute and fabulous flower hairclips and headbands. ;p What is great for us was that my sister, Nuraisah and I got to sit down and discussed a lot about what we want to do next and where we want to position ourselves as a company. As much as I should be wanting my home-grown company to grow into an empire, I actually prefer it to be close to 'home' with a personal touch.. where I still make personalised 'thank'you' notes to my customers and hand-stamped all the tags that go together with each hairclip and headband. Am I crazy?

Anyways, we will be dipping our toes into weddings; making boutonnieres and hand bouquets.

See what we did this past weekend for the flower girls at our friend's wedding. Nice? This is a 3 wool blend felt flower garland headband for a 9-yr old and a 1-yr old. They looked super uber cute with these! We also made the 5 pieces of flower brooch pins and a matching boutonniere for the father of the groom. They loved it and that makes me happy! ;)

Also, what is encouraging is, we still received orders from friends and friends of friends for more Elli Roses brooch pins and as soon as we are done with our 3 day seminar (Fri-Sunday), we will be making those. We have orders for another wedding next week for the big Dahlias! And a big order for a wedding photoshoot in April. ;)

We are also looking forward to our lil one day booth at the staff room of Telok Kurau Primary School on 17 April.

So, one bad event do not bother me all that much. We have so much going on in the upcoming months and are excited to move on!

Stay tuned ok ;)

Oh, we still have that felt flower training workshop in 3 weeks! ;)

Pushcart at Meridian Junior College

So the day that we waited for is finally here!!

Right now we are here at the school and I have to say that the crowd weren't fun at all! Perhaps JC kids are not 'flower' material! Nonetheless, we had a good learning experience and can now strike off JC on our list of future events.. Or maybe other JC kids are not as bad?

We always have fun at the secondary schools during the brownies and girl guides day!

We are having another booth in April at TKPS and will see how it goes.

But I do like our pushcart here at MJC.
