4 more days to deliver the goodies

So, what's the most time consuming flower to make?? Drumroll ..,,

It's a tie!!! Ok ok I honestly think the dahlia is the most time consuming to make but my fav beaded poppy comes close in second!

First, we have to draw out the shapes on the felt. Cut it. Cut out the black felt backing. Cut out the black buds (middle circle).

Then we have to paste them into the nice poppy flower..

Sew them nicely on the seams.. On the bud circles, and the petals..

Sew the little veins for the poppy beads.

Last we have to cut out another backing to cover the back before attaching an alligator clip.

Voila!!

Happy making!
I certainly love making mine and had abt 15 made. Definitely not all 15 in one day! Maybe if we get a die-cut machine, it could be possible.... Hmmmm... Tempting. Can't find one is singapore tho.

Cheers!!

Rolling rolling flowers

One more week to another expo event!! We have decided to include our new yoyo flower designs and the rolled flowers.

Today, all the kids left for the pool; Hadi included! That means I have all the peace and quiet in the house to make my flowers.

Oh, I also managed to sneak a trip to the fabric mall to get more fabrics for the yoyos and roses!! How awesome☺๐Ÿ˜

A lil yoyo action

Have you heard of a yoyo flower before? Like most of the people I know in Spore, you probably have no idea what it is. But if you are in the crafts world ( I'd like to think im I lil crafty-happy at times), then u know exactly what I mean! These yoyo flowers are so simple yet can be so beautiful.

I bought some fabrics on Saturday ad came out with these.

Simply in Space

I admit it has been so a few months since our last diaper cake creation. But I also admit that the last few months had been absolutely crazy hectic with the house move and mom being sick and running around with all the kids for school.

Anyways, it was nice to be rolling those diapers again, thanks to my old polytechnic friend, Khaisarah. This diaper cake was meant to be a small 2 tier cake for my another old secondary sch and poly friend, Lynn. :) Our heartfelt congrats to Lynn and many thanks to Khai for your business support. 

Here is our first try at a shuttle space diaper cake for Lynn's baby boy. Some creative imagination needed!

Happy Halloween!!

In Singapore, Halloween is not highly celebrated like they do in the states.

Last year, Hadi became the baby fr Adam's family. I had wanted to dress him in the native Indian wear this year but since we are not in the states, that idea would be shelved for next Halloween. 

Nonetheless, Simply4Love came up with these cutesy Halloween hair clips just for those lil ones. Simply cute, simply orange, simply Halloween. If you like these clips but don't want them in orange, we  custom orders. Contact us today or get yours at Ave Kids at Plaza Sg or Parkway Parade shopping centre. 
