A super fun day volunteering @ Serangoon NLB

In support of anything handmade and especially when it comes to teaching youngsters about handmade, we decided to volunteer for Fictive Fingers; 2 homegrown crafters/sisters (just like us!) who have been featured a few times in the local papers for their handmade crafts in textile prints and hand stamps. (Hint** WE LOVE their stuff! ;))

For 2 hours, Aisah and myself, along with 5 or 6 other volunteers, taught some 6-12 yrs old children at the Serangoon Library about making their own hand stamps and most importantly, the safety while making their their own designed hand stamps!

The event was organised by NLB and some 30-35 kids who pre-registered, popped up to learn and handmade their own stamps while parents get some free-time reading (or shopping)! How cool is that!

The next events will happen this coming Sunday, at AMK Library, 2-4pm. I think I will bring my Princess Elli.
